PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A 26-year-old Fall River man died Saturday morning after being stabbed outside of Cadillac Lounge in Providence, police said.

According to Major David Lapatin, police responded around 1 a.m. to the lounge for a disturbance.

Around that same time, police received a call that the stabbing victim was being brought to Rhode Island Hospital.

At the hospital, the 26-year-old was pronounced dead.

Lapatin said three people followed the victim and his friends to the parking lot.

One person reportedly confronted the victim and stabbed him.

After the stabbing, the three people left in two cars: a white Cherokee and a grey Hyundai, Lapatin said.

An emergency closure hearing for the Cadillac Lounge will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday.
